Stolen djembe Wanted!!!

djembe, an African drum, was stolen from my car(Mitsubishi Lancer, black). The drum was a treasure of Tomomi, one of may band members.
On December 3,1998 she left the djembe in the backseet of the car which was parked in front of Studio GUBI (3 minutes -walk from Hankyu Nakatsu station).Someone supposedly took the drum between 11:10 and 11:30 pm,while we were in a nearby restaurant. I'm not quite sure if the car was locked.
The djembe was made by a workman in England specially for her.She went all the way to England to pick it up, and she was so much in love with it. The djembe was a part of herself.
One the following day we looked all around the studio, hoping that the thief throw it away after finding it of little value. We didn't find the djembe anywhere, and we heard that there are people around who steal musical instruments such as quitars and bass guitars.( We, as musicians ,cannot believe people can do such evil!) We suspect that the thief knew it was a drum. The cannot be replacedby other drums. It contains her spirit and it has to be back to her.
We need your hands! If you happen to see a djembe somewhere, please let us know. We appreciate any small piece of information. It has her name inside the body. Please contact: Tomomi tel&fax 0722-33-4165 or Masaharu Nakakita fax0727-51-8804 or e-mail

  This is stolen djembe!

The color of the skin is light-brown with some white part. (The color and
the pattern of skin is different from goat to goat.)

Since djembes are all hand-made, every single djembe has its own features.
Each djembe maker does his job in slightly different ways. Her djembe was
made by an Enblish man who has sold only four djembes in Japan. If she sees
her djembe, even on a photo, she wiil be able to tell that it's hers.

If you get flushNakakitaor Kawabe please, give me e-mail
